Supporting the Dance for Dementia Foundation not only benefits individuals living with Dementia but also creates a more empathetic, inclusive, and supportive community. It promotes the well-being of caregivers and contributes to the broader effort to address the challenges posed by Dementia. Together, we can bring about positive change in our community by promoting inclusivity and enhancing the well-being of those affected by Dementia.
A STATEMENT FROM
OUR FOUNDER
Dementia has affected members of my inner circle. When someone receives a dementia diagnosis, there are limitations to how much one can do to alleviate the process. Witnessing the mentally draining experiences of both the patient and the caregivers is truly heartbreaking. Motivated by this, the foundation was born with the intent not only to support those in my inner circle but also to give back to the resilient city of New Orleans.
New Orleans holds a special place in my heart, having provided me with invaluable support during a time when I had little to offer in return. The vibrant community, particularly at Loyola University, welcomed me with open arms. Now, through this foundation, my aspiration is to reciprocate the warmth and kindness I received. My sole focus is on giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by dementia and the community that has inspired me so much.
